MATH 782: Logic Seminar (Spring 2007)
Instructor: Richard Shore
As usual the seminar will focus on a special topic one day a week. Participants will take turns lecturing. The other day will be devoted to a variety of topics depending on the interests and research activities of the participants and will include some outside speakers as well.
The topic for this semester has not yet been determined and will depend on the interests of the participants. Possibilities include Reverse Mathematics using Simpson's book, Subsystems of Second Order Arithmetic, or one in set theory such as large cardinals using Kanamori's book, The Higher Infinite. Other suggestions are welcome.
