MATH 674: Introduction to Mathematical Statistics (Spring 2006)
Instructor: J. T. Gene Hwang
I intend to use part of Lehmann and Casella's book on point estimation , Lehmann's book on Testing Hypotheses and Jim Berger's book on Bayesian Decision theory.
Other than the traditional subjects such as point estimation, testing hypotheses, and confidence intervals, if time allowed I may also discuss shrinkage estimation, and permutation tests, which arises frequently in recent applications.
