MATH 674: Introduction to Mathematical Statistics (spring 2008)
Instructor: Gene Hwang
I intend to use part of Lehmann and Casella's book on point estimation, Lehmann's book on Testing Hypotheses and Jim Berger's book on Bayesian Decision Theory.
Other than the traditional subjects such as point estimation, testing hypotheses, and confidence intervals, if time allowed I may also discuss shrinkage estimation, and permutation tests, which arises frequently in recent applications.
