MATH 7670: Algebraic Geometry (Spring 2011)

This course is an introduction to algebraic geometry. A tentative list of topics to be discussed includes the classical theory of affine and projective varieties, rational and regular maps, the algebraic notion of dimension and the Hilbert polynomial, syzygies.

Prerequisites: MATH 6310.
