MATH 6340 - Commutative Algebra II

We will introduce standard graded rings, and then study the structure of graded free resolutions and their numerical invariants. Time permitting, we will also study sheaves and the basic properties of schemes. The overlap with topics covered in the Commutative Algebra course in fall 2013 will be minimal.
