Algebraic Topology
Instructor: | Peter Kahn |
Final Time: | MWF 10:10-11:00 |
Math 753, the second semester of the algebraic topology sequence, typically covers the topics of cohomology, cup products, Poincare duality, and some homotopy theory. In Fall 2000, the course will cover these topics and others from the perspective of differentiable manifolds and differential forms, using the classic book of Raoul Bott and Loring Tu, "Differential Forms in Algebraic Topology," GTM 82, Springer-Verlag. It is planned to cover Chapters I and II, as well as some sections of Chapter III.
