Applied Functional Analysis

Instructor: Adam Epstein

Time:  TR 1:25-2:40

Room: WE 328

This will be a standard course on the basics of Hilbert and Banach Spaces: Hahn-Banach Theorem, Open Mapping Theorem, Uniform Boundedness Principle, Weak and Weak* convergence, Spectral Theory in Hilbert Space. As time and student interest permit we will examine applications to differential equations (via integral equations), and harmonic analysis (convergence of Fourier series).
