Seminar in Partial Differential Equations:
Finite Element Methods in Second-Order Parabolic Problems
Instructor: | Lars Wahlbin |
Final Time: | TR 1:25-2:40 |
Assuming that the audience is reasonably familiar with the elliptic case, I will start from the beginning in the parabolic case and work up to very recent stuff.
A good reference book (which is up to date until about 1995):
V. Thomee, Galerkin Finite Element Methods for Parabolic Problems, Springer Series in Computational Mathematics, Vol 25, Springer 1997. (If you want it, you have to order it yourself.)
