MATH 751: Berstein Seminar in Topology: Topology and Combinatorics (Fall 2006)
Instructor: Edward Swartz
Students will present most of the material. The class will choose among topics which loosely can be described as topological methods in combinatorics or combinatorial approaches to problems in topology. Possibile subjects include (but are not limited to!) poset topology, discrete Morse theory, combinatorial approaches to curvature, arrangements, oriented matroids.
