MATH 7620 - Outer Space and Cohomology of Aut(Fn)

I will give overview on the cohomology of the autmorphisms groups of free groups. The staring point will be a construction of Auter space, which is a contractable simplicial  complex with a proper action of $\mathrm{Aut}(F_n)$. This complex can be used to compute algebraic invariants  of the group like Euler characteristic and the size of cohomology groups.
