MATH 7580 - Three-Dimensional Manifolds

This course will be an introduction to the topology and geometry of three-dimensional manifolds.  Topics will include Dehn's Lemma, the sphere and torus decompositions, hyperbolic geometry, and Heegaard splittings.  Other topics may be covered depending on time and student interest.
