MATH 7350: Introduction to Automorphic Forms and Automorphic Representations (Fall 2012)
Instructor: Birgit Speh
In the first part of the semester we discuss classical analytic number theory. In the second part we will translate the classical results into the language of automorphic representations. The last part of the course will be tailored to the interests of the audience: it may be an introduction to the Langlands program, or we may consider the Selberg Arthur trace formula for GL(2), or we may discuss Hilbert modular forms and quadratic base change.
