MATH 7310: Seminar in Noncommutative Algebra and Geometry (fall 2008)
Instructor: Yuri Berest
This seminar will cover a variety of topics from modern algebra, representation theory and algebraic geometry, which might be united under the title Noncommutative geometry.
The topics may include: representation theory of quivers and quiver varieties, rings of differential operators and D-modules, integrable systems, A-infinity algebras and their representations, vertex and chiral algebras, Serre functors and duality in noncommutative algebra and geometry, conformal field theories.
The level of the seminar will be uneven: some themes will be covered in a systematic way, while others will be discussed only briefly. An active participation of students will be expected.
