MATH 7390: Computational Algebra (fall 2008)

This course is an introduction to Gröbner bases theory, which is the foundation of many algorithms in computational algebra. We will discuss applications in algebraic geometry and commutative algebra (for example, Hilbert functions, syzygies, and toric varieties).
